Selden Neck State Park is an island state park that borders the Connecticut River in the town of Lyme, Connecticut, and is accessible only by boat. The park has four areas for primitive boat camping, and offers opportunities for hiking, fishing, and hunting. Its coordinates are 41° 23′ 41″ N, 72° 24′ 54″ W.
Note: this website was created to celebrate Selden Island, a place whose beauty and history were cherished by our good friend, Paul Robertson (shown on the left, leading a group hike on the island in 2010).
The white trail on Selden Island was maintained by Paul until he passed away, in November 2010. A stone marker at the north end of the trail bears his name, in honor of his conservation and education efforts ~ Bruce and Tammy Noyes Old Lyme, CT (email) |
